Originally from the Bronx, New York, Vallea is an Atlanta and Chicago-based performer and teaching artist. Vallea’s credits include a world premiere at the Alliance Theatre, Milwaukee Repertory Theatre, Jeff Award-winning productions at The Second City and Drury Lane Oakbrook, and work with Tony Award-winning actors at Ravinia Festival in addition to roles with The Annoyance, the New York International Fringe Festival, Light Opera Works, and Chicago Opera Theatre. Vallea has appeared in The Color Purple, The Absolute Best Friggin Time of Your Life, Ragtme, No Country For Old White Men, The Life, The Wiz, Little Shop of Horrors, Blue Nativity, The Wizard of Oz, Me, the Devil, and Other Friends and Everything’s Sexy, 2, Circle of Friends, The American Girls Revue, and Hair to name a few. Adept in certain areas of production as well as performance, Vallea also acts as PR Consultant, Fundraising Event Planner, House Manager, and Production manager for several theatres on a regular basis. A comedienne and budding writer to boot, she’s completed The Second City improv conservatory, and studied at iO Chicago and The Annoyance, as well as the writing program at The Second City. Vallea holds a Master of Fine Arts from the University of Georgia. She is also a graduate of Northwestern University and has trained at the Milwaukee Repertory Theatre and the esteemed School at Steppenwolf.
